Kitecamp Madagascar – Sakalava Bay

In the mood for an adventure far from the crowds?

Then come with us to Madagascar, to the legendary Sakalava Bay! Imagine this: ten days of endless wind, a huge turquoise lagoon, exotic nature, wild coastal landscapes, and a kitesurf spot that is still a true insider tip. Our kite camp in Sakalava Bay takes you to one of the most beautiful kitesurf spots in the world – combined with comfort, community, and plenty of action.

Sakalava Bay – a paradise for kitesurfers

Sakalava Bay is located in the north of Madagascar in the Diego Suarez (Antsiranana) region and is considered the epicenter of kitesurfing on the island.

What awaits you here:

  • Consistent wind: From May to October, the trade winds blow here daily at 20–30 knots. Few other spots are this reliable.

  • Huge lagoon: A flatwater area protected by an offshore reef – perfect for freestylers, big air, and long sessions without shore break.

  • Waves beyond the reef: If you’re up for wave riding, you’ll find clean lines outside – a perfect mix of flatwater playground and wave action.

  • Exotic nature: While you kite, you’ll see wild cliffs, green hills, and the endless blue of the ocean in the background.

More than just a spot – discover the variety around Sakalava

Madagascar offers so much more than just one kitesurfing spot. During the camp, we’ll take you to breathtaking lagoons and beaches nearby:

  • Jacqui Island – The ultimate secret spot. An adventure that takes us through the jungles of Madagascar to one of Africa’s most fascinating spots.

  • Paradise Bay – The name says it all: kite paradise on earth.

  • Emerald Sea – a dazzling emerald lagoon with mirror-flat water, almost completely deserted.

  • Ramena Beach – a lively fishing village with a laid-back vibe, ideal for a relaxed afternoon after your sessions.

  • Diego Suarez – the northern capital, where African, French, and Creole influences meet – a true cultural highlight.

This incredible variety makes Madagascar a destination that goes far beyond kitesurfing – it’s a full-on adventure for all your senses.
